Single Parent Statistics
Half of American children will spend at least part of their childhood in a single parent household.
Of the 13.5 million single parent households in this country, 84% of them are headed by single mothers. A third of those mothers have never been married.
Every day, 1,186 babies are born to teenage mothers.
Every day, 3,742 babies are born to unmarried mothers.
Many of the people behind these statistics visited pregnancy care centers at one time. Newly conceived families converge on these centers by the thousands every day. Individual Birth of a Family programs are established in pregnancy care centers in order to capture these enormous opportunities.
Welcome
Human conception is certainly high on the list of events marking the ‘birth of a family.’ At that moment fathers, mothers and children are linked for life. That procreative bond will never change. Unfortunately, the permanence of that bond does not insure that fathers, mothers and children will live and grow together as lasting nuclear households.
Birth of a Family exists to promote the founding and strong growth of lasting nuclear households. Even more importantly, clients learn principles of establishing households built on a solid Biblical foundation that will stand the test of time. Learn More
