How The Birth of a Family Program Works

Fathers, mothers and their children need to live and grow together as nuclear families in one home.

Opportunities to promote the founding and strong growth of lasting nuclear households occur every time an expectant mother visits a pregnancy care center.

THE BIRTH OF A FAMILY program exists to capture these opportunities-converting them into lasting nuclear families where fathers, mothers, and children do live and grow together. Through this remarkable program, clients are introduced to the hope that a lasting nuclear family can be achieved. More importantly, they receive the help they’ve always needed but rarely received.

Pregnancy care centers are key portals to these opportunities because clients come to them for counsel regarding their procreation of children. Where there is a mother with child, there is a father. Although these make a family; many of these clients will not live and grow together as families unless…

For this reason, the Birth of a Family program is designed to be implemented primarily through pregnancy care centers.

When a pregnancy care center decides to implement the Birth of a Family program, Family Enterprising, Inc. begins immediately serving those centers by:

  • Helping them strategically plan their unique implementation of the program
  • Developing Project Charters describing implementation and operation of their programs in detail
  • Preparing grant applications seeking funding for the implementation and operation of their Birth of a Family programs
  • Developing people resources through local churches
  • Training key leaders and servants of their programs
  • Presenting the course curriculum and training presentations as an example for new leaders
  • Providing on-going support promoting the perpetual success of the programs

During implementation of Birth of a Family programs people are recruited and trained to serve the program. These people include program coordinators, presenters, trainers and Family Coaches.

Family Coaches are trained to accompany clients through the seven part presentation providing role modeling and mentoring.

As soon as pregnancy care centers are ready, Birth of a Family classes are populated with clients and Family Coaches and presentations begin.

Clients and their Family Coaches attend all presentations together, usually developing reasonably good relationships within the first few meetings. Productive dialogue between them becomes quite common. The course culminates with a graduation where clients who have completed the course receive a certificate of completion which often entitles them to a discounted price on marriage licenses.

Implementation can take from nine to twelve months. During that time Family Enterprising provides assistance, example and training until those serving the program feel confident doing these things on their own. Gradually, pregnancy care centers operate their programs independently.

Once implemented the cost to continue operating the program perpetually can become relatively minimal.

What can we expect? If we offer them hope and help through the Birth of a Family Program, many of them will found and grow nuclear households where fathers, mothers and children live and grow together.

The BIRTH OF A FAMILY PROGRAM captures and converts presently unrealized opportunities to promote the founding and strong growth of Biblical households within a segment of our population that desperately needs it.
